I’m finally wrapping up a documentary that I have been working on for many months, I had to get information from law enforcement on multiple different occasions, but I received this police chase from Madison County Georgia so im posting this just to fill a little gap in time. Plus I thought you might like to see this. Unfortunately there is no body camera video left from the event so this dash camera video, the phone calls, and Crime scene photos are all that’s left from this event.
At the end of 2020 a Georgia state trooper was driving in East Georgia when he watched a vehicle completely disregard a stop sign, the state trooper made a U-turn and went after the car, but the driver did not stop and accelerated his speed, the state trooper immediately began trying to pit the vehicle and he finally stopped the car on his third attempt.  after a brief standoff, the driver of the vehicle stepped out and begin firing at the officer with an AK 47 rifle, the trooper responded by emptying two Clips of ammo from his Glock 17 as the driver, 25 year old Timothy Carruth, disappeared over the nearby hill. a few minutes later more officers arrived on scene and a canine team was able to take the suspect into custody, but they could not find the weapon. Timothy Carruth was taken to the county jail and booked in on a slew of charges, and he used his phone call, to call a friend and he told them where he had hid the gun and he asked them to go get it before the police found it, law enforcement was listening to this phone call, and they returned to the scene and looked where he had said to look, and they recovered the rifle before anyone else could get it. Timothy was given a lengthy habitual offender prison Sentence.
